Paris, September 10, 2020 – reciTAL, an AI startup specialized in Document Intelligence solutions, has raised its first round of funding worth €3.5m from venture capital fund Breega. reciTAL will use the funds to boost its development and become the go-to search, extraction and automation platform for intelligent document processing.
Gilles Moyse and Frédéric Allary founded the company in 2017 driven by one big idea: the recent advances in Natural Language Processing (NLP), when applied to unstructured documents (documents, emails, contracts, etc.), will revolutionize business processes in the same way ERP and CRM changed how companies handle their structured data.
Our Document Intelligence solutions for businesses unlock the competitive advantage within a company’s unstructured data – streamlining customer relations, enhancing employee productivity and bolstering risk management processes. Business use cases include information searches, contract analysis, email processing, risk evaluation and due diligence.
Our unique approach combines the power and accuracy of deep learning with the ease of use of a platform designed for all employees, while also integrating seamlessly with business ecosystems.
R&D is our driving force. Our team has six PhDs and our scientific advisory board includes Stuart Russell, professor of computer science at UC Berkeley, and Antoine Bordes, director of Facebook AI Research in Europe. Our team presents papers at prestigious international conferences and contributes to the development of state-of-the-art NLP technology.
